Choosing hair care for your hair

Posted by Maree Langford on

So you're looking for a new hair care line, huh? Not really sure what to look for in a shampoo, conditioner or styling products and like many other people have a cupboard full of products that you just don't use. In order to feel our absolute best self its important to have healthy looking hair, its not just about clean hair but shiny, strong healthy looking hair, there is nothing worse than hair that looks damage, dry, brittle and breaking all over the place and if you want long hair well that's just never going to happen with hair in bad condition. You'll find that all brands have shampoos and conditioners specifically formulated with different purposes in mind: from helping strengthen brittle strands, adding volume where needed  as well as toning unwanted yellow, brassy tones from the hair. These days with all the different brands on the market, it can be a a bit mind boggling, the things to consider when choosing a product, various things like porosity, if it's colour-treated, damaged, thick or thin these are just a few things that can alter how great a shampoo works when trying cleanse oil and dirt from your hair and scalp.

 What I look for:

  • Sulphate and Paraben free
  • Animal friendly
  • Natural is better
  • Australian made
  • Type of hair (Coloured, Damaged, Fine ect)
